AEC consulting

Stop talking about AI. Put it to work.

We help architects, engineers, contractors and other companies turn good ideas into tools, standards and habits their teams actually use. We've spent decades inside this industry, so we start with how your projects really run.

A faceted lightbulb wired to a network, a prompt and code

Vibe coding, explained

The people who know the work can now build the tools.

Vibe coding means describing what you need in plain language and directing AI to write the software. An estimator can build a takeoff checker. A project lead can build a submittal tracker. That used to take a development team.

It's also easy to get wrong. Tools can break quietly, firm data can end up in the wrong place, new features can cause security issues, and nobody may know how the thing works six months later. So we teach the whole habit, not just the prompt:

  • Pick problems where a mistake is easy to catch
  • Set clear rules for what data AI tools can see
  • Have a person test and review the output
  • Write down what was built, and who owns it

Engagements

A clear scope. Something you keep.

AI

AI readiness review

We look at how your firm works and find where AI will help first, and where to leave it alone.

You keep: a ranked list of opportunities, data and review rules, and a recommended first project.

AI

Vibe coding sprint

We pick one real problem and build a working tool with your team, so they learn by doing it.

You keep: the working prototype, its documentation and a repeatable way to build the next one.

INT

AI integration

We connect AI to the software and workflows you already use, starting with the task your team repeats most.

You keep: the working connection, setup notes, and a person on your team who knows how to run it.

SW

Software tools review

We compare the software you pay for with how your team actually works, then recommend what to keep, add or drop.

You keep: a side-by-side comparison, a clear recommendation and a rollout plan for your team.

STD

Standards setup

We capture how your best projects run and turn it into a standard the whole team can follow.

You keep: BIM templates, written workflows and QA checklists.

EDU

Team training

Revit, production and AI training built around your own projects and standards, not generic exercises.

You keep: recordings, reference guides and practice files for new hires.

AEC startups

Building something for this industry?

Software, a product, a service or a new material can all look great until they meet a real job site. We know how AEC companies buy, build and resist change, because we've worked inside the industry and started companies for it.

We can partner with your startup or join the team.

Why us

We've been innovating in this industry since 1990.

In 1993 we helped build a parametric tool that turned HVAC single lines into 3D models and CNC-ready shop output. We've kept at it ever since, from Revit scripts to the tools we use to run our own work.

Client result

A client faced a tight deadline to secure more than $1 million in city rebates for installing new mechanical equipment. Fitting the equipment appeared to require reworking the building structure, which would have taken too long. We built an exact replica of the existing structure and showed that only minimal structural changes were needed to accommodate all the equipment. This saved structural engineering and construction work and compressed the construction timeline. The project finished on time and the rebate was secured.

Common questions

Do we need technical staff?

No. You need someone who knows the work and wants to improve it. We'll show them the rest.

Will you build and maintain our software?

We build prototypes with your team so you can run them yourselves. If additional technical support is required, we can help source it for you.

What about our project data?

We agree on the rules before any tool touches it, including which tools are allowed and what stays out of them.

Can you work with firms outside your area?

Yes. Most consulting and training works well remotely, and we can come to you when being in the room matters.

What's the idea you haven't acted on?

Tell us what's stuck. A short conversation is the fastest way to find out whether we can help.
